The Project

This position will work across all our national renewable energy project participating in the early design and optimization of the portion of renewable and transmission projects.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for experienced Design Engineer (CIVIL) with Road design, access tracks, temporary works experience who are multi-skilled team players to join our Renewables, Systems and Technology National team. The focus of this role is to provide conceptual and detailed civil engineering output in support of renewable Projects, including Wind farms, transmission lines and PHES projects.  This is a great opportunity to secure long term work here in Sydney, NSW.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Engineering Civil Design Road experience
  • Holding a Civil Engineering Degree
  • Intermediate computer skills (word processing, email), company management system requirements
  • Autodesk Suite of design software, such as Civil 3D, Infraworks, 12D etc.
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of GIS and different spatial tools across the industry
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management, team collaboration and organizational skills
  • Leadership focus and a client focused attitude
  • Meets construction methodology, capability & objectives and adheres to budget and time constraints;
  • Incorporates innovative solutions and flexible design;
  • Generates momentum to improve time, cost, margin and quality outcomes of project;
  • Ensures orderly development of drafting process, resourcing and construction process.
  • Conduct design reviews.
  • Prepare plans, layouts and designs (predominately temporary works) with supporting calculations for specifications.
