The Project
McConnell Dowell and CPB Contractors, along with Design partners Mott McDonald, Arup and Aurecon have been awarded the Tram Grade Separation Projects as an Alliance, comprising of works at three main locations along the Glenelg Tram Line. The level crossings at Marion Road and Cross Road will be replaced by tram overpasses, removing the interface with road traffic and creating new public spaces beneath. This project will improve network efficiency and safety at their locations for all users.
Your opportunity
As the Senior Environmental Advisor, you will be integral in ensuring the effective delivery of environmental services to ensure the project meets environmental responsibilities and objectives. You will be identifying and conducting risk analyses of the potential environmental impacts, acting as an advisor to the project so that knowledge regarding environmental issues and legislative requirements are transferred. You will be an important member of the team and will drive the highest standards that CPB expects in Environmental Management.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
- Tertiary (Bachelor) degree in, Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or associated disciplines
- 5+ years’ post graduate experience
- Experience within the rail, transport, construction, mining & resources or engineering industries
- Knowledge of Environmental management techniques and tools
- Experience in undertaking process and/or product system of audits and reviews
- Knowledge of environmental statutes, legislation and guidelines
- Knowledge of compliance and reporting procedures and processes and competency to implement these
- Reporting, auditing and risk management procedures, and processes and competency to implement these
- Experience reporting on environmental performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance.
- Absolute commitment to safety and compliance with everything you do
