As part of this Transformation, we’ve created a vacancy for Senior Media and Partnerships Advisor which is a key role in shaping the future performance of the organisation.  

Your opportunity

The Senior Media and Partnerships Advisor is a key role within the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs function responsible for supporting CPB Contractors’ Media and Public Relations activities and interests. The role supports the planning, drafting and issuing of timely, compelling communications content, including leader speeches, media releases and media statements, including supporting the development of proactive and reactive responses related to reputational issues, all while actively building relationships with media representatives and industry bodies in Australia and New Zealand.

Additional accountabilities include;

  • Support the management of CPB Contractors’ media engagement and reputation management, aiding the execution of a range of BU and national external communications, within the Public Affairs team.
  • Support CPB Contractors’ engagement with media stakeholders and industry contacts across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring we strengthen relationships and build influence and effectiveness
  • Assist in drafting and publishing of timely, compelling media content including speeches, media releases, media statements including in response to issues, and social media
  • Assist in the management of public positioning for CPB in relation to Government Relations activities in partnership with BUs, fostering strong relationships with strategically critical client media teams and maintaining a strong external narrative that differentiates CPB Contractors from its competitors
  • Leverage B2B marketing and social impact partnerships to benefit CPB nationally, delivering effective, low cost B2B and industry marketing strategies, ensuring relevant external agencies are operating effectively, and delivering and maintaining CPB’s sponsorship, membership and national partnerships.  

Skills & experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with a range of communication channels and platforms, including online and digital 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role  
  • Experience and skills preferably in both internal and external communication 
  • Strong eye for visual and written detail and accuracy 
  • Experience working in a complex business environment and with agency relationship management experience.  

This role supports the CPB Contractors business across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and will be based in one of our HQ locations.
