The Project
CPB Constructors, in Alliance partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa. The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Works are commencing now and will go through until mid 2026.
Your opportunity
CPB Contractors are currently seeking a Superintendent (Electrical) to join our on-site construction team for the Western Ridge Crusher project.
These roles will be responsible for the planning and coordination of electrical works undertaken on the project while ensuring that safety, time, cost, and environmental objectives are met.
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversight of Electrical supervision and associated trades
- Understanding and communicating SCJV electrical safety standards and compliance of the same
- Driving consistency through results in works completion inclusive of documentation
- Interfacing with external work groups as part of rail and project-wide services trades. This includes leading, scheduling and finalising interface work arrangements
To be successful in this role, you must have the following
- Relevant Electrical Qualifications
- Tier 1 experience in infrastructure projects, FIFO resources projects (highly regarded)
- Familiar with all related aspects of Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
- Familiar with completions programs and Quality Assurance
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Be solutions orientation and able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
