Working with the Regional People & Culture Manager and National Learning & Development Manager, this role will provide guidance, support, and advice to the QLD/PNG Business Unit to consistently deliver on the CPB Contractors Training Strategies in line with operational objectives.
Based in Brisbane with frequent regional travel to support CPB’s Projects and future pipeline of work within the state of Queensland, this position will:
- Report, monitor and drive training strategies to address ongoing skill gaps, development opportunities and learning needs for the business
- Implement targeted training programs, workshops, training content and courses tailored to meet the needs of the business unit and projects to ensure it meets regulatory, safety and technical competency
- Design, deliver and implement training programs, training content and courses tailored to meet the needs of the business
- Build relationships with external training providers, contractors, and educational institutions to ensure high calibre training and services
- Liaise with projects and work winning stakeholders to ensure consistency of Training delivery outcomes
- Manage and maintain relationships with key funding bodies and stakeholders
- Create and support strategic relationships for the company with Group Training Organisations, Registered Training Organisations and other relevant partnerships
- Monitor Training Provider costs and contracts to ensure consistency of charges and best pricing across the business.
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Relevant experience in training and blue-collar competency management in an infrastructure environment
- Strong understanding of legislative requirements and training compliance
- Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating training solutions to projects or business requirements
- Demonstrated experience implementing training programs
- Strong relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
