About North East Link
The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.
The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.
The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.
About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity available for a proactive and hands-on ICT Analyst to join one of the largest infrastructure projects in Victoria. In this role you will provide ICT support to the construction site teams and be accountable for the following:
- Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. This includes diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and escalating complex issues to higher-level support or vendors when necessary
- System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance activities, such as monitoring system and network performance, performing data backups and restoration, and applying security patches and updates to ensure system security and resilience
- Hardware and Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, printers, and mobile devices. This includes managing user accounts, access permissions, and software licenses
- Inventory and Procurement: Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses
- Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain technical and end-user documentation, including procedural guides. They may also conduct basic training sessions for employees on new systems, software, and IT best practices
- Project and Process Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system upgrades or new hardware deployments, ensuring adherence to timelines. They also help implement and enforce IT policies and procedures across the organisation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Systems Administration or related field.
Minimum requirements for this role:
- Highly developed computer skills and demonstrated knowledge and experience in ICT coordination
- Hands-on experience supporting internal stakeholders preferably within construction environments
- Strong technical knowledge across Microsoft platforms and business applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage non-technical users
- Proven ability to identify system improvement opportunities and lead implementation activities
- Previous exposure to technical or multi-site environments
- Have a valid driver's licence
