CPB Contractors in joint venture with UGL and supported by EIC, fellow CIMIC Group companies, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW buildings featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security​ systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works​.

Your opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planner to support the successful delivery of complex construction and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Senior Planner or Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules while providing valuable insights to project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect current performance.
• Assist with critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and opportunities.
• Support project teams with short and long-term planning activities.
• Produce regular planning reports, progress updates, and schedule dashboards.
• Participate in planning workshops and project review meetings.
• Coordinate with site, engineering, commercial, and project management teams to ensure programme alignment.
• Contribute to tender programmes and project delivery strategies.

About You

• Previous experience in a Planner, Project Coordinator, or Project Controls role.
• Exposure to construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, or data centre projects.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 (or other leading Enterprise CPM software), OPRA, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project, Synchro, Navisworks, SketchUp, TILOS, Chainlink
• Preferably awareness of and some competency in 4D planning and BIM
• Ability to interpret project drawings, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
