Lead Plant Operations on One of Australia's Largest Energy Infrastructure Projects
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Plant Supervisor to join the HumeLink West Project team and play a key role in delivering a nationally significant transmission infrastructure project.
Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a large fleet of civil construction plant and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive operations across multiple work fronts. You will provide strong leadership to operators, subcontractors, and support personnel while driving a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

About the Role
As Plant Supervisor, you will:
✅ Lead and coordinate daily plant and equipment operations across the project
✅ Manage plant operators, leading hands, and subcontract plant crews
✅ Monitor plant productivity, utilisation, and availability to support construction targets
✅ Coordinate maintenance schedules, inspections, and statutory compliance requirements
✅ Conduct daily pre-starts, safety briefings, and field leadership interactions
✅ Ensure all plant activities comply with project safety, environmental, and quality standards
✅ Liaise with construction teams, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain program delivery
✅ Support cost-effective fleet management and continuous improvement initiatives
✅ Investigate and manage plant incidents, defects, and equipment downtime
✅ Drive a strong safety culture aligned with project and company expectations
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Proven experience as a Plant Supervisor or similar leadership role
- Strong background managing heavy civil construction plant and equipment fleets
- Experience on large-scale civil, infrastructure, mining, renewable energy, or transmission projects
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Sound understanding of plant maintenance, utilisation, and compliance requirements
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
- Commitment to safety leadership and operational excellence
- Current Driver's Licence
- Construction White Card
Highly Regarded
- Experience working on major energy or transmission line projects
- High-Risk Work Licences
- Relevant trade or plant-related qualifications
- First Aid Certification
