Job Duties

Managing Digital Construction works

• Manage and coordinate the DE project team
• Develop a strategy for the implementation of DE on the project and in alignment with the Group's IDD strategic framework
• Initiate, agree and implement the DE Management Plan across the project and audit applications and processes on a regular basis
• Work closely with the respective design and engineering managers to ensure that DE requirements are incorporated into the procurement of supply chain services
• Conduct DE competency assessments of project stakeholders
• Interrogate design information being developed to ensure it's robust, the appropriate format and sufficient quality for project acceptance
• Connect DE to the on-site activities through the site management team
• Support the use of DE for site logistics and planning, including making the model available to the design and construction teams (on a weekly basis) for the purposes of survey and set-out
• Extract data from the models to contribute and to support project reporting

Driving and Implementation

• Organise and chair Review Meetings
• Review and manage Coordination, Interface and constructability issues
• Provide support to Design and Engineering Management Team and design consultants
• Drive innovation in DE and associated systems and technologies
• Promote the use of DE technologies and methods to generate value and reduce risk for Leighton Asia
• Development of high-value DE use cases, including documenting processes, their applicability and benefits to the project and the business

Improving Capabilities

• Maintain and grow the DE community of practice, including introducing and up-skilling project resources, meeting project requirements, and adopting innovative practices
• Drive DE application internally through various means and channels, especially in temporary works, project progress monitoring and commercial quantification
• Develop and implement training in DE to improve the capability of the project resources
• Stakeholder Management (internal and external)
• Drive excellence in DE standards

Job Requirements

• Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Built Environment or Architecture or Building Services

• Total work experience: 10 years
• Has Design and construct work experience
• Strong proficiency in DE, the use of key BIM engineering systems, and the ability to implement and administer a project's DE or BIM Management Plan
• Multi-discipline project experience
• Ability to manage a project's digital information across all functions
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and risk management skills
• Ability to drive compliance and effective governance
• Demonstrated ability to drive business excellence and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated experience in design management and understanding of construction delivery
• Ability to publicly present, network and train others
• Understanding of project operational and functional inputs into the digital engineering process
