Job Duties
Tender Management Tasks:
• Prepare and issue RFQ/RFP to bidders to solicit the most competitive and compliant quotations to meet the Project requirement.
• Perform comparison of cost for quotations received, perform commercial evaluation and negotiation with the bidders.
• Work with the project & construction team to prepare tender award recommendation.
• Prepare the necessary documents and presentation to obtain management approval for sub-contract award.
• Create draft agreements for sub-contracted work and seek approval from supervisor
• Finalize and execute sub-contracts signing
Post-award Subcontract Management:
• Evaluate change request or variation submission from sub-contractors in term of contractual entitlement, and costing.
• Seek approval for sub-contractor change/variation request from management
• Update change/variation tracker on regular basis
• Responsible to assess and process the monthly progress claims submitted by sub-contractors.
• Provide accurate inputs to supervisor for preparation of monthly progress claims to the client.
• Enter cost details into the project cost control system in a timely manner
• Conduct site visits on a regular basis to track progress and for assessment of sub-contractor’s progress claims
• Produce and maintain month-end cost-to-date and forecast costs for sub-contractors.
• Respond to correspondence received from sub-contractors in a timely manner in line with sub-contract requirements
• Responsible for final account and sub-contracts close out at the end of project.
People management Tasks:
• Train and mentor subordinates on technical as well as behavioral aspects of their respective roles
• Provide opportunities to the team to develop their capabilities
Requirement
• Diploma/Degree in Quantitative Surveying or related area
• More than 7 years of relevant experience with main contractors in Singapore's construction industry
• Experienced with high voltage electrical system, ELV electrical system, cablings, ICT and Security installations.
• Prior experience with Data centre projects will be an added advantage
• Good communications skills and a team player
• Knowledge of project management
