Job Summary:

We currently have vacancy for Intermediate Civil Design Engineers to be based at our Bukit Jalil City, Kuala Lumpur

 

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Perform planning & schematic design and proposed alternative scheme design during planning stage.
• Perform and review design calculations, drawings & prepare method statement, specification, etc. during detail design stage.
• Perform preparation of tender proposals.
• Assist for review Shop Drawings, Method Statement, Material submissions, and etc. during construction stage.
• Prepare and/or review engineering drawings, reports, correspondences technical advice and presentations at all stage.
• Prepare technical report for submission to Client or Local Authority for approval.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with project team.
• Conduct site visits for inspection of works carried out.
• Make alterations on designs/drawings.
• Liaise with Client, Contractors, 3rd party engineering firms, and etc.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates (Engineers and Drafters).
• Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
• Provide regular status updates to Superiors/ Principal.
• Continuous Improvement and Update on technical skills.
• Perform other duties as directed or assigned.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering. Registered with BEM.
• Min. 4-5 years of work experience as Civil Design Engineer in Civil Engineering Consultancy Firm or Company.
• Able to do Infra design works i.e. ESCP, EW, Detention pond, Sewerage reticulation, water reticulation and etc. Able to perform structural design would be an advantage.
• Familiar and able to use the following Civil Engineering software i.e. Civil 3D to perform cut and fill and section, XP Storm, Autocad’s plan setting up.
• Able to quantity take off and prepare bill of quantity for civil works.
• Good Technical and Analytical skills in Engineering.
• Familiar with British Standards, Eurocode, Local By-Laws/Authority requirements.
