Job Duties

The role drives the development and implementation of quality, environmental and sustainability programs while providing expert governance, assurance, and guidance to project teams to ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, and corporate requirements.

• Monitor the implementation of the company quality and environmental management systems on projects
• Establish quality and environmental audit programs for the projects and coordinate with external bodies on audit approach and scope for certification
• Drive the development and rollout of initiatives to improve quality and sustainability performance on projects
• Establish and lead the quality, environmental, and sustainability culture & strategy for the Project, coordinating with Group leadership to ensure alignment.
• Develop programs and processes to achieve strategic objectives, including the regional implementation of the “Net Zero” Plan.
• Develop and communicate the management system and framework (including forms, checklist, and similar) to the project team
• Guide project teams in preparing detailed Quality and Environment Plans that comply with all contractual, statutory, and Leighton Asia’s guidelines.
• Establish project-wide quality and environmental training programs and coordinate the setup of the electronic document management system (EDMS).
• Oversee project performance by assessing subcontractor arrangements, conducting environmental risk assessments, and tracking non-compliances, incidents, and defects. Ensure full compliance with environmental laws and manage all required licenses and permits.
• Develop and deliver project wide Quality, Environmental and Sustainability training programs/reports to enhance awareness and competency.
• Maintain track of all documents uploaded and guide team to provide copies of documents to all relevant stakeholders involved (sub-contractors, vendors, etc.)
• Liaise with Innovation and IT teams to identify and develop innovative Quality, Environmental and Sustainability solutions, tools and workflows.
• Lead and mentor the Quality, Environmental and Sustainability team by setting clear objectives, evaluating performance, and providing regular feedback and coaching.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Civil / Building Engineering / Quality & Environment or related discipline
• Minimum 15 years' experience in a Quality and Sustainability role preferably in a managerial capacity
• Good Knowledge of quality and environmental  management systems, and related ISO standards
• Member of a recognized professional body would be an advantage
• Experience in leading a team and developing and delivering strategy
