Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Perform planning & schematic design (multiple schemes) during planning stage.
• Prepare technical report for submission (including civil design brief) to Client or Local Authority for approval.
• Perform and review design calculations, drawings & prepare method statement, specification, etc. during detail design stage.
• Ability to review Shop Drawings, Method Statement, Material submissions, and etc. during construction stage.
• Liaise with Client, Contractors, 3rd party engineering firms, and etc.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates (Engineers and Drafters).
• Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to junior engineer assigned to the project.
• Provide regular status updates to Superiors/ Principal.
  Continuous improvement and update on technical skills.

Requirements:

• A Degree/ Master in Civil Engineering. Registered with BEM (GE, PE, or PEPC).
• Min. 10 years of work experience as Civil Design Engineer in Civil Engineering Consultancy Firm or similar organisation.
• Able to perform and experience in Civil design works i.e. drainage design, detention pond and on site detention pond calculation, sewerage reticulation, water reticulation, earthwork platform design etc. Ability to perform structural design would be an advantage. However, engineer must able to coordinate for structural works.
• Proficiency in the following Civil Engineering software i.e. Civil 3D, Swept Path, XPStorm, Epanet, & Autocad’s plan setting up.
• Strong Technical and Analytical skills in engineering.
• Familiar with MSMA, MSIG, SPAN technical guideline, British Standards, Eurocode, and Local By-Laws/Authority requirements.
