Job Duties

• Manage civil commercial and quantity surveying activities, including cost planning, cost monitoring, and monthly commercial reporting.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor client progress claims, variation orders, change orders, and supporting claim documentation.
• Prepare subcontract tender packages, bills of quantities, commercial tender documents, and commercial comparisons.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and provide commercial recommendations in line with project requirements.
• Administer subcontract agreements, including subcontractor claims, variations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project, construction, planning, and finance teams on cash flow, payment collection, and cost control matters.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and support internal / external audits as required.
• Support final account close-out and help minimise commercial, contractual, and financial risks.

 Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8–12+ years of total work experience, with at least 5 years in Civil commercial / quantity surveying roles.
• Experience in measurement, pricing, and quantity take-off for Civil works.
• Strong knowledge of progress claims, variation orders, subcontractor payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Experience in subcontract procurement, tender evaluation, contract administration, and final account close-out.
• Knowledge of standard methods of measurement such as POMI, SMM, CESMM and/or NRM.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, and local forms of contract would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel / MS Office; knowledge of ERP/JDE, AutoCAD, or BIM quantity take-off would be an advantage.
• Good planning, time management, negotiation, and communication skills.
