About the role

We are seeking an experienced Breakdown Coordinator to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality environmental solutions and results at Pembroke Resource’s new autonomous project in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex.

Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-west of Moranbah and is due to commence mining operations in early 2023. Thiess has recently been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul, water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.

Working 7 days on 7 days off day/night roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include:   

  • Receive communications from the drill controllers and allocate support labour to repair autonomous drills
  • Comply with all reasonable management instructions and directions as issued by Supervisor
  • Create work orders for unplanned field events and capture all repair information in JDE
  • Identifying system configuration anomalies and reporting back to OEM

  • Current Coal Board Medical, Standard 11 and Driver's License
  • Relevant machinery evidence (SSE/ RII certificates)
  • Has well-developed/strong computer skills e.g., Microsoft suite, Internet Explorer, Email etc.
  • Demonstrates a rapid understanding of information presented and uses it to support decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Adapts to change and manages pressure effectively whilst maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Follows all directions and procedures related to the role in order to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
