About the role

Role: Senior Mining Engineer

In this role, you will:

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• +8 years’ experience in a broad range of Mine Engineering
• Strategic and innovative approach to problem solving and ability to define critical value drivers (cost and revenue) in an operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
• Experience on mine planning tools is preferred.
• Thiess global best practice knowledge and experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Reasonable understanding of the technologies currently implemented within Thiess.
• Understanding the key value drivers for current and new mining operations
• Knowledge of current and emerging mining technologies and concepts
•  

About you

• Formal Education- Tertiary qualified in a relevant technical discipline (eg BE/B.Tech in Mining Engineering)
