The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrical Tradesperson to join the maintenance crew at Pembroke Resource’s new autonomous mine in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex.

Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-East of Moranbah, which commenced mining operations mid-2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul, water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.

About The Role

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a new workforce that is focused on developing a strong performance culture and a culture that values everyone’s contribution equally. As an Auto Electrical Tradesperson, you will be required to:

  • Maintain a fleet of Haul Trucks and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently in order to meet site maintenance schedules
  • Servicing and repairs to heavy vehicle air-condition systems
  • Reading electrical schematics, diagnosing, and carrying out repairs on 12/24v electrical systems
  • Attending in-field breakdowns and repairing faults safely and efficiently
  • Create detailed parts lists for faults found during inspections for future repairs
  • CAT and Liebherr experience desirable.

About you

As a successful applicant, you’ll be a high-achieving safety-focused individual who?enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high-quality work will also ensure your success in this role. The ideal candidate will hold:

  • Trade certified auto electrical tradesperson
  • Proven experience in the maintenance of Haul trucks and associated plant equipment in a mining environment
  • Relevant post-trade experience
  • CAT and Liebherr experience highly desirable.
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Current Standard 11
