About the Role
Work as a Tyre Fitter at Thiess' Lake Vermont Coal Project in Dysart, QLD, reporting to the Tyre Supervisor. This full-time role follows a 7/7 rotating roster with 12.5-hour shifts.
Your responsibilities include:
- Removing, fitting, and repairing tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment
- Conducting regular tyre inflation checks, adjusting pressures, and reporting to the supervisor
- Sourcing technical information from manuals, bulletins, and computer systems
- Taking proactive measures to prevent equipment non-conformance and addressing quality issues
- Adhering to site procedures and providing solutions through designated channels
About You
- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology AUR21920 or AUR21916
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Tyre Fitter
- Experience in the mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industry
- HR driver's license (preferred)
- Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to perform intensive manual labour outside
