About the role

As our next Security Officer working a 7/7 Day/Night rotating roster you will work in a collaborative team environment to provide support at our Lake Vermont project. Reporting directly to the site based Health, Safety and Training Department.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Control security requirements on site from the Site Access Centre
  • Monitor vehicles and equipment coming to and from site
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Monitor security cameras and CCTV
  • Complete reports and computer use
  • Operate management systems on site
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks to support site departments
  • Conduct random drug and alcohol testing (training provided)

About you

  • Australian driver’s licence – c class, open licence (manual, heavy rigid)
  • QLD security licence - with functions monitoring and unarmed
  • Certificate II or III in security operations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a coal board medical
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
  • All successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment medical and national police check
  • Willingness to attain qualifications as required which may include: Drug and Alcohol Testing, First Aid, Emergency Response.
