About the role
As the next Electrical Maintenance Superintendent / EEM Delegate, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of all electrical maintenance activities across the site. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement in daily operations. You will provide strong leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to personnel across Planning, Warehouse, Infrastructure, and Communications functions.
- Ensure compliance to the site health, safety and environmental policy standards
- Ensure compliance to the Thiess Safety Essentials
- Maintain and improve HME equipment availability and MTBF
- Oversee compliance to electrical site safety maintenance repairs and standards
- Oversee site infrastructure and communications maintenance
- Oversee maintenance Planning and Warehousing functions
- Drive a collaborative, inclusive and continuous improvement culture
To be successful in this role you will possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with key internal and external clients. You will demonstrate the ability to deliver on time maintenance of all mobile plant in a challenging, fast paced and professional environment.
About you
- Electrical Trade Certificate/Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications
- Experience in mobile and/or fixed plant maintenance in a mining environment
- Experience supervising large multifunctional site-based maintenance teams
- Knowledge of job specific computer programs e.g. JDE, SAP, Microsoft office suite
Roster and Location
QCoal Northern Hub is situated about 100km South-West of Bowen in the friendly lifestyle location of the beautiful Whitsunday Coast of Queensland and only a few minutes from the township of Collinsville.
- 5/2 Roster - Monday to Friday roster with monthly RDO’s
- Fully furnished unit in Collinsville, plus access to camp meals if requested
- DIDO or live locally in Mackay, Bowen, Collinsville
