What you’ll do
With a strong focus on delivering high-quality warranty claims, cost recovery, and collaboration, this role is perfect for a driven professional with mechanical expertise and a passion for process improvement, safety, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of warranty and goodwill policies and technical requirements for successful claims.
- Apply expert understanding of truck rebuilds, components, diagnostics, and cost repair/quote analysis.
- Leverage enterprise systems like JDE and MS Project to track claims and parts and manage workflows.
- Interpret technical documents and bulletins to ensure accurate claim development and troubleshooting.
- Manage all external warranty claims in line with manufacturer guidelines and Thiess Asset Services policies.
- Investigate and resolve complex or disputed warranty issues while ensuring accurate repair order costings.
- Maintain up-to-date warranty documentation, including technical bulletins, correspondence, and claim history.
- Prepare warranty performance reports, analyse trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Represent warranty insights in supplier/vendor performance reviews and monthly/quarterly meetings.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education & Work Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a warranty and/or maintenance management role.
- Mechanical trade qualifications and experience in external repair and warranty functions.
- Exposure to maintenance management and expertise in truck rebuilds, component repair, and cost analysis.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong technical knowledge of OTR components, diagnostics, and manufacturer warranty policies.
- Proficiency in enterprise systems like JDE and MS Project, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A collaborative mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to driving efficiency and improvement.
