About the role

We’re currently seeking experienced Front End Loader Operators to join our production team at the QCoal Northern Hub, located in Collinsville. Reporting to the Bulk Haulage Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and productive operation of Front End loaders to load road trains, maintain ROM pads, and support coal handling operations across site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate Front End Loaders (Cat 980-988, Hitachi Z550, Komatsu WA900) to load B-Double road trains and manage stockpiles
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and complete required production and safety documentation
  • Maintain ROM pads, stockpiles and haul roads to required standards
  • Work closely with road train operators and dozer operators to ensure consistent material flow
  • Follow mine plans and daily production schedules
  • Identify and report hazards, equipment faults and near misses
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture and team performance

About you

  • Demonstrated experience operating large Front End Loaders in a mining environment
  • Experience loading trucks to correct weights per trailer, using bucket weightometers (loadrite or similar)
  • Current RII or equivalent competency for Front End Loader operation
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and achieving production targets
  • Ability to work in a rostered, site-based environment (day and night shifts)
  • Ability to meet site medical and drug/alcohol screening requirements
