What you’ll do
As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you’ll play a critical role in recruiting skilled blue-collar professionals across Thiess’ maintenance and operations teams. You’ll partner closely with site leaders and operational teams to deliver practical, timely, and effective recruitment solutions that support safe and productive project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for maintenance and operations roles, including fitters, operators, boilermakers, electricians, and supervisors.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong relationships with site managers, superintendents, and HR teams to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored hiring strategies.
- Sourcing Strategy: Use proactive sourcing methods to attract qualified trades and operational talent, including job boards, social media, referrals, and local networks.
- Candidate Experience: Provide a responsive and respectful experience for candidates, ensuring clear communication and timely updates throughout the process.
- Workforce Planning Support: Collaborate with operational teams to forecast labour needs and align recruitment activity with project schedules.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Promote inclusive hiring practices and actively seek talent from underrepresented communities.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring practical experience recruiting for blue collar roles in maintenance and operations environments. You’ll be confident working with site-based teams, managing competing priorities, and delivering results in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience recruiting trades and operational roles, ideally in mining, construction, or heavy industry
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with site-based leaders
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies and deadlines with agility and professionalism
- Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment reporting
- A passion for supporting frontline teams and delivering a great candidate experience
- Commitment to inclusive hiring and promoting diverse talent pipelines
Desirable:
- Experience recruiting for mobile maintenance, drill & blast, or operations crews is highly regarded
