About the role

We’re seeking experienced Supervisors with experience in Crushing Operations to join our team at the QCoal Northern Hub, located in Collinsville. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient crushing operations and stockpile areas areas to support ongoing production targets.

This is a key role within our mining operations, working as part of a close-knit and safety-focused production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience operating the following equipment
    • Terex Finlay J. 1480 Jaw Crusher
    • Terex Finlay TC- 80 Tracked Conveyor
    • Hitachi 490 LCM Excavator
    • Cat 988K Loader
    • Terex Finlay I 140 RS Impact Crusher
  • Champion for all safety management plans & procedures
  • Effectively communicate with other departments
  • Leadership and development of crew
  • Ensure production targets are met
  • Conduct toolbox talks and shift prestart talks
  • Conduct statutory inspections of an open cut operation

About You

You are a high achieving and focused Supervisor with previous experience in a Crushing Operations. You are committed to driving a high performing and inclusive team.

  • Experience in leading a high performance team in Production Mining Environment
  • Commitment to HSEC
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fluid/dynamic environment
  • Ability to work in an adaptive team
  • Experience with computer-based data and management tools (e.g. Infomine)
