What you’ll do

Reporting to the Group Executive – Assets & Autonomy, you will oversee a global team delivering asset services across multiple regions, including Australia, Chile, North America, and Asia. Your leadership will ensure the successful execution of business objectives, growth strategies, and client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of managers across asset services and decarbonisation initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategy to position Thiess as a trusted partner in asset services and energy transition.
  • Drive innovation through adoption of new technologies and sustainable practices in mining and asset management.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, OEMs, and strategic partners.
  • Champion health, safety, and sustainability across all operations.
  • Influence at executive level and provide strategic guidance to regional leadership teams.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

The ideal candidate will bring extensive leadership experience in the resources sector, coupled with a strong understanding of mining technologies and the energy transition. They will have a proven ability to develop market strategies and foster high-value client relationships. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Economics, Market Analysis, Science, or a related technical discipline are essential. The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep knowledge of contractual, legal, and compliance frameworks, and exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills across diverse cultures and dispersed teams. A growth mindset, adaptability to change, and a passion for innovation are critical to success in this position.
