What you’ll do

This role is pivotal in tracking and managing costs for major asset-related projects across the Group, including international fleet relocations, multi-unit rebuild programs, and major fleet deliveries.

You will ensure accurate allocation of project costs (CapEx and OpEx), maintain oversight of cost performance, and provide forecasting to support projects being delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report actual costs for major asset projects.
  • Build and maintain project cost control structures in JDE.
  • Analyse cost variances and investigate discrepancies.
  • Develop cost-to-complete forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure accurate cost attribution.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including variance commentary and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with Asset Costing Standards and assist with audits.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering accurate cost control and forecasting for major asset projects. You thrive in a collaborative environment, have excellent communication skills, and can influence stakeholders effectively while ensuring compliance with financial and operational standards.

  • Degree in Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in asset management or asset accounting, ideally with large mining equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, JDE, and budgeting/forecasting tools (e.g., OneStream), with strong understanding of asset life cycle cost models.
