ABOUT THE ROLE:
Thiess are seeking an experienced Serviceperson for a permanent employment opportunity working on our Caval Ridge coal mining project. Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
✅Service heavy earthmoving equipment
✅Conduct refuelling operations
✅Assist fitters where required
✅Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained
✅General workshop duties
ABOUT YOU:
This position is ideally suited to someone who has worked in the mining or an allied industry and has the following skills:
- Prior experience working as a serviceperson on a open cut Coal Mine
- Standard 11
- R11SAM212E Service mine plant and equipment SOA
- Drivers Licence (HR driver’s licence preferred)
- Service mine and plant competencies
- Demonstrated experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry
- A commitment to a positive safety culture
- Desirable tickets;
- Working at heights
- EWP - High Risk
- Forklift - High Risk
- Confined space
- Franna ticket
