About the role

As our next Leading Hand to proudly represent our Project Support Team on a 14/7 roster, your role will be performing major component  and reliability shutdowns on a fleet of electric drive MT4400 haul trucks. As Leading Hand, you'll play a pivotal role in minimizing machine downtime, ensuring high-quality repairs, and mentoring your team to success.

In this role, you will:

• Work a 14/7 Roster – 12-hour shifts

• Shift Handover & Task Status: Provide clear task updates to the Supervisor at shift change for smooth transitions.
• Task Prioritization: Collaborate with the Supervisor to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
• Daily Labour Allocation: Manage daily labour assignments and ensure updates are reflected in prestart.
• Task Monitoring: Conduct regular progress checks and provide timely updates to ensure task completion.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and support team members to enhance skills and maintain productivity.
• Safety & Quality: Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and workmanship on-site.
• Tool & Equipment Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and parts.

About you

• Previous Leading Hand experience in a maintenance or breakdown role.
• Experience with electric drive MT4400 haul trucks, or similar equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and breakdown processes. · Excellent timekeeping and ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to manage multiple breakdown events while maintaining clear communication and prioritization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to safety, ensuring all breakdown activities are performed with minimal risk.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to coordinate teams and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
