The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand- Maintenance to take on a range of maintenance activities and supervision at Curragh North Project.

About the Role

Working a 7/7 roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Leadership of a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors’ and Superintendents’ directives
  • Fulfil the Maintenance Supervisor’s duties in their absence
  • Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer‑based systems
  • Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
  • Source and requisition parts and equipment requirements through the appropriate manuals or publications using the correct ordering procedure
  • Verify the implementation of solutions and control non‑conforming machinery until deficiencies or unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected

  • Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
  • Current Standard 11
  • Current S123 & RIIRIS402E G2
  • Proven mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • High regard for, and consistent practice of, health and safety
