The opportunity

This is a 6 month secondment opportunity. In this role you will support Thiess’ global treasury operations, working closely with Senior Treasury Managers to manage global liquidity, cash flow, and debt facilities. You will play an important role in ensuring effective treasury operations, governance, and financial risk management across the organisation.

As a Treasury Analyst you will contribute to the management of global cash and liquidity, support debt and lease funding activities, and assist in maintaining strong banking and financial stakeholder relationships. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build your treasury expertise within a global mining services organisation.


Key Responsibilities

Global Cash, Liquidity & Debt Facilities

Support Senior Treasury Managers in managing global cash, liquidity, and debt facilities, including drawdowns, repayments, and associated governance and reporting.

Financial Risk & Transaction Banking

Assist with foreign exchange risk management, trade confirmations, and settlements, while supporting global transaction banking relationships and controls.

People, Leadership & Collaboration

Contribute to team goals by supporting high performance, encouraging accountability, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.

Health, Safety & Sustainability

Take an active role in identifying and managing risks, following up on issues promptly, and promoting continuous improvement across the team.

Commercial & Stakeholder Engagement

Support commercial initiatives and business planning and build productive relationships to identify opportunities and improve outcomes through collaboration.


About you

You hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline and have relevant experience in treasury, accounting, or a related financial role, ideally within mining, resources, or a large corporate environment.

You bring strong financial acumen and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and support treasury operations.

You are detail-oriented and collaborative with strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across internal external teams
