What you’ll do

In this role, you will take ownership of ensuring warehouse inventory is managed effectively within Thiess’ governance framework, while supporting the operational needs of our Australian projects.

You will also play a key role in driving hands‑on warehouse process improvements and elevating service levels across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent and effective use of the warehouse management system across all sites, maintaining accuracy and transparency.
  • Oversee warehousing governance to ensure alignment with Thiess operational standards.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reporting to monitor and improve warehouse performance.
  • Deliver ongoing training in warehouse procedures and systems.
  • Monitor stocktake requirements and ensure compliance with governance and processes.
  • Coordinate warehouse mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
  • Contribute technical expertise to continuous improvement initiatives and support warehouse operations.
  • Assist with warehouse reviews and audits to drive best practice.
  • Remote and onsite support

What you’ll bring

You bring strong supply chain foundations with extensive experience in inventory and warehouse management, supported by a solid background in asset maintenance warehousing processes. Your technical capability includes advanced Excel skills and proficiency with inventory management systems. You communicate clearly, influence stakeholders effectively, and are willing to travel to site to lead improvements and provide support. You also hold an unrestricted “C” class driver’s licence.

  • Qualification in supply chain, ideally focused on inventory or warehousing
  • Extensive experience in inventory and warehouse management, including asset maintenance processes
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with inventory management software
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders, and willingness to travel to site as required
