About the role

Thiess is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major ERP implementation across Finance and Asset Management functions.

This position will act as a bridge between Finance, Procurement, Asset Management, Operations, and project stakeholders to ensure process alignment, user adoption, and a smooth transition into the new operating environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate change management activities associated with implementing new procure-to-pay and asset management processes.
  • Support operational teams to determine required changes, including role clarity, responsibility changes, process updates, and capability uplift.
  • Support operational teams to manage stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption activities.
  • Support teams through the transition from current to future state by identifying resistance points and managing issues.
  • Collaborate with process improvement, Finance Systems, and business teams to ensure solutions are practical, sustainable, and aligned to business needs.

This role is Brisbane-based with a requirement to travel to Perth (minimum of one week per month).

What You’ll Need to Succeed

As a proactive and collaborative business analyst, you bring a passion for enabling successful transformation. You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and are skilled at understanding the impacts of change, building strong stakeholder relationships, and supporting teams through transition. Using a structured and practical approach, you help translate new processes, systems, and ways of working into meaningful outcomes by coordinating communication, training, engagement, and adoption activities.

  • Experience as a Business Analyst on ERP, business process improvement initiatives or system transformation (e.g. JDE, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Procure-to-Pay or Asset Management processes
  • Proven ability to assess change impacts across people, process, systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver change activities including communications, training and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business, technology, and project teams to embed sustainable change.
  • Background in mining, construction or heavy industry (advantageous)
