The Opportunity

As a Specialist ICT Support you will be responsible for providing quality ICT Technical Support services to Information and Communication Technology customers in Order to exceed the expectations of the Thiess business and end users.

 

As the Specialist ICT Support , you will:

  • Ensure all systems and network services are available when required by the business and are performing as expected.
  • Provide technical advice and support to internal and external staff when required.
  • Provide information related to customer networks, hardware, and software purchasing decisions.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of Thiess systems and associated hardware.
  • Diagnose and resolve support calls related to Thiess systems mentioned above.
  • Monitor systems to identify potential issues and forecast future requirements
  • Provide timely and quality support, including investigation, response, feedback, escalation, assistance, and resolution for incidents logged through the Thiess Service Desk for Thiess and Business Unit employees.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, interpersonal, and communication skills, and demonstrate a strong customer-focused attitude in daily operations.
  • Ensure all incidents and work tasks are updated and maintained in a timely and informative manner to support SLA compliance and knowledge management.
  • Proactively review services provided to ensure they are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and perform adequately.
  • Provide feedback to clients regarding the status of faults and service requests.

 

About you

  • Minimum bachelor degree majoring in Information Technology or Computer Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in working with cloud applications
  • Experience with writing design, project documentation and process documentation
  • Experience of working within a complex ICT server environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation and technical support of PC's, associated peripherals and software in a complex windows environment.
  • Firm knowledge of industry cabling standards and methods
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization Ability to impart industry knowledge to internal staff members
  • Working knowledge of enterprise ICT environments.
  • Knowledge of security practices.
  • Knowledge of IT IL practices desirable.
  • Working knowledge of common desktop software including MS Office and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of workstation hardware, peripheral devices and networks.
  • Knowledge of server technologies such as Windows Server, Virtualization, AD.
  • Knowledge of Anti-Virus/security practices.
  • Knowledge of IT IL practices desirable.
