The opportunity:

  • Are you an experienced network engineering professional with a strong background in designing and maintaining enterprise-scale infrastructure, with a commitment to keeping critical operations connected? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our ICH – Technical & Assets Services team in Gurugram, India.
  • As a key member of the Gurugram team, you'll be responsible for architecting, maintaining and optimising Thiess' global network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across our mining operations and corporate environments worldwide.
  • Roster: Monday–Friday | Location: Gurugram, India | Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will:

  • Design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN and cloud connectivity solutions across Thiess' global operations
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business-critical mining and corporate systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance network performance, resilience and security posture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional ICH teams and operational stakeholders to deliver network solutions aligned with Thiess' technology roadmap

About you:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering, with demonstrated expertise in Cisco and/or Fortinet technologies
  • Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), firewall management and network security frameworks
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed environments, ideally within mining, resources or similarly complex operational sectors
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE or equivalent are highly regarded
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into operational outcomes for Thiess project and site teams
