About the role

Based in our Brisbane office and reporting to the HR Manager, you'll provide operational HR support across our Queensland mining operations, partnering closely with site leaders, employees and the broader HR team.

This role offers a diverse mix of employee relations, HR advisory, workforce reporting, compliance and continuous improvement activities. You'll play an important part in delivering consistent, accurate and compliant HR services that support our people and business performance.

Occasional site travel may be required to support operational needs across our Queensland projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line HR advice and support to employees and leaders on policies, procedures and employment matters
  • Assist managers with performance management, employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Support grievance resolution and help maintain fair and consistent HR practices
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems
  • Review employment documentation to ensure compliance with legislation, enterprise agreements and company policies
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related queries in collaboration with site and payroll teams
  • Prepare workforce reports including headcount, turnover, absenteeism and compliance metrics
  • Analyse HR data and provide insights to support workforce planning and decision-making
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance HR service delivery and employee experience
  • Build effective relationships with operational leaders, employees and key stakeholders across the business.

About You

You are a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment. You have strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience in a HR coordination, advisory or administration role
  • Confidence working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with HRIS or business systems (e.g. SAP, Workday) – desirable
  • Previous exposure to mining or heavy industry – highly regarded but not essential

We're open to capable candidates who are keen to learn and understand the dynamics of an operational, site‑aligned workforce.

What we offer

  • Flexible, hybrid work model
  • Supportive, inclusive culture that values innovation and continuous improvement
  • Opportunity to work with an amazing team on a high impact project
  • Collaborative, values-led culture with a global reach.
  • Access to leading-edge technology and systems.
  • Competitive salary and employee benefits package
