The Opportunity
Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Coordinator Data Quality to join our high-performing team at Indonesia Capability Hub, based in Jakarta Head Office
As Coordinator Data Quality, you will:
- Be responsible for the accurate and timely entry, validation and processing of production and maintenance data across MACA and Thiess projects in the Western Region. Working as part of the offshore Indonesian DMG team, this role supports the regional DMG model by managing routine and transactional tasks, enabling onshore teams to focus on higher value strategic activities.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure data is accurate and up to date
- Validate data against defined set of standards, rules, or benchmark to support commercial operations and decision making
- Understand how data accuracy supports cost allocation, reporting and site performance tracking
- Follow structured processes to minimise rework and avoid data discrepancies
- Build effective virtual working relationships with Supervisors, Superintendents, and Admin teams across the WA region
- Generate reports on data quality issues and trends to support informed decision making
- Monitor real time data feeds and flag potential quality issues to relevant stakeholders for resolution
- Maintain records of completed tasks, outstanding issues and follow up actions using internal tracking tools
- Support the upkeep and accuracy of task documentation and SOP's
- Provide support for escalations related to data accuracy and timeliness, under the direction from the regional SME
About you
- Studies in Business Administration, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Engineering, or a related field are preferred
- Equivalent industry experience in a mining or heavy industry environment will also be considered
- Previous experience in data entry, administration or support role
- Exposure to mining, logistics, engineering or operations environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage and process high volumes of data accurately
- Experience supporting teams remotely or across multiple time zones
- Prior use of mining business systems
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. sorting, filters, basic formulas)
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Sharepoint
- Comfortable learning and working within operational software platforms and data entry systems
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to ask completion
- Ability to follow structured processes and identify basic data discrepancies
