The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to work collaboratively in delivering high quality environmental solutions and outcomes at our Lake Vermont Project, located in Dysart.

Working an 8/6 day shift roster and reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, project approvals, and company requirements.
  • Managing topsoil, site water, and rehabilitation works, including quality assurance activities.
  • Supporting the successful implementation of the Environmental Management System, including the development and execution of Environmental Management Plans.
  • Delivering environmental training and awareness programs across the project.
  • Promoting environmental initiatives and innovations to strengthen environmental awareness and culture within the business.
  • Preparing and collating reports to meet legislative, regulatory, and client requirements.
  • Liaising with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders on environmental matters.
  • Coordinating environmental monitoring, inspection, and auditing programs, and maintaining associated documentation and records.
  • Interpreting environmental data and providing regular reports on performance against environmental targets.
  • Influencing project design, construction, and consultant teams on environmental management and sustainability matters to achieve outstanding project outcomes.

About you

  • Previous experience in an environmental advisory role within mining, resources, construction, or a related industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance requirements, and environmental management systems.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring, rehabilitation, water management, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and implementing environmental improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
