The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.
The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

The opportunity
Roster: 5/2 4/3 roster | Location: Eva Copper, Queensland | Employment Type: Permanent
Are you a Health, Safety & Training Administrator with a passion for operational excellence and innovative solutions? Thiess is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health, Safety & Training Administrator to join our dynamic team at the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations, driving technical excellence and supporting project success.
As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality mine planning and mine engineering processes to support safe, efficient operations and ensure our workforce meets Thiess and industry standards.
Working a 5/2 4/3 dayshift roster and reporting to the Manager, Health Safety & Training, your duties will include:
- Providing administrative support to the on site HSET Team
- Managing and raising department specific purchase orders
- Managing and processing department specific invoices
- Ensuring compliance with the Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme and supporting with onsite onboarding requirements
- Data management of the client and Thiess Incident Management Systems
- Assisting the HSET team in compiling and preparing monthly reports.
- Performing other duties as defined by the HSET Manager
About you
As a successful applicant, you’ll be a high-achieving team-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your exceptional relationship-building skills coupled with your ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders will also ensure your success in this role.
- Previous experience as a Health Safety and Training Administrator within a resources, construction or similar industry would be considered advantageous
- High level of organisational and time management skills
- Highly motivated and committed to meeting deadlines and delivering results
- Ability to work well in a high-volume busy work environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically strong excel skills)
- Strong attention to detail
