The Opportunity

Are you a qualified High Voltage Electrician with a passion for maintaining safe and reliable mining equipment? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated High Voltage Electricians to join our high-performing team at Lake Vermont.

As a key member of the Lake Vermont team, you'll be responsible for supporting safe and efficient mining operations through the maintenance, repair and servicing of electrical mining equipment, facilities and infrastructure while maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental standards.

Roster: 7/7 Day/ Night rotating | Location: Lake Vermont, QLD | Employment Type: Full Time

As the High Voltage Electrician, you will:

• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of AC Drive Electric Haul Trucks, workshops and facilities in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems.
• Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, servicing, component change-outs and statutory electrical testing and inspections.
• Source technical information from OEM documentation, technical bulletins, reference manuals and computer-based systems while maintaining high housekeeping and equipment utilisation standards.

About you

• Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent.
• HV Switching Certification (desirable).
• Proven experience in a similar role within heavy industry, mining or construction.
• Current LVR/CPR certification.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Current Standard 11.
• Strong commitment to safety and alignment with Thiess' core values of Integrity, Accountability, Innovation and Delivery.
