Your opportunity
The Corporate Pre-contracts, Risk and Assurance team currently have an opportunity for a Group Manager, Assurance. This role will be responsible for the strategic leadership development, management and governance of the Assurance activities of the Group. The Group Managers major task is to provide an independent review of our portfolio of projects to assist the projects and the Senior leadership team in meeting the full range of company and project objectives including cost, time, resourcing, quality and safety objectives.
This role requires an experienced construction industry leader with a wide range of skills to enable them to connect with our Project teams and review and assess Projects at inception, and during their project lifecycle. The Group Manager must be able to work independently and have the ability to quickly and succinctly assess the various project key result areas
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide objective and independent assurance to the CPB MD & ELT that Projects are meeting their stated targets and are compliant with Company processes and procedures.
- Liase with executive leadership to ensure project reviews are being carried out to meet business priorities
- Leadership of review teams as appropriate
Minimum Requirements for this position:
- 20+ years' experience in delivering major construction projects
- Experience in leading large teams and understanding the imperatives of what makes a project successful
- Ability to work alongside senior project teams and Executive leadership.
- Ability to cut through complex issues and provide clear recommendations that make a positive difference
- Ability to travel across Australia, New Zealand and on occasion to projects in Southeast Asia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
