Project Controls Engineer
As the Project Controls Engineer you will be responsible and accountable for providing overall cost management, reporting and forecasting requirements for the site outage contracts, incorporating technology, innovation and industry best practice.
About the role;
•Provision of project control systems for use by all delivery teams on the contract, where possible leveraging common systems and best practice to reduce complexity and enhance productivity
•Establishment of the core systems on each project, leveraging the existing management systems developed, building on these and ensuring procedure are followed at all times
•Oversee all estimates and project schedules
•Be responsible for the quality and timelines of cost, estimates, budgets, financial reports and schedules
•Assist Contract Manager/Outage Managers in the development of site KPI’s for all delivery teams. Development of standard reporting required to track and report on these KPS’s on a constant basis
•Interpret progress data and provide recommendations to the Project Managers on areas of concern and rectification strategies
•Lead the accurate and timely capture, analysis and reporting of maintenance activities performance and initiate strategies to improve outputs
•Provide leadership and direction for all project control activities within the contract
•Coach, mentor and hold contracts to account to mitigate business risk through project controls, specifically related to fixed price commercial arrangements
•Assist the senior leadership positions to analyse financial and operational information, identifying strengths/weaknesses and seeking improvements in methods and processes
•Align the development of best practice project controls systems and procedures with site/contract-based project controls plans to ensure efficient establishment, resourcing and governance.
•You will be degree qualified in an engineering, finance or management discipline
•7-10 years of experience in project controls systems development, deployment and administration within the brownfield maintenance industry, most importantly experience working across major shutdowns and turnarounds
•Leading edge knowledge and expertise of maintenance management practices standard, systems and processes relevant to the project controls activities on the project
•Strong networking and relationship building skills, with a focus on collaboration and influencing
•Business and project controls acumen, supported by continuous improvement skills
•Understanding of and the ability to apply contemporary and innovative practices.
