The Myer Group is looking for a Capability Development Lead who will be responsible for shaping and elevating organisational capability through the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of high‑quality learning initiatives. You will provide hands‑on leadership for the Capability team, ensure effective management of compliance training, and facilitate and lead the development of programs that enhance workforce skills, performance, and engagement that support a culture of continuous learning and organisational effectiveness.

  • Provide expert learning leadership for strategic cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring training components are well‑designed and integrated enabling successful project outcomes
  • Lead the successful integration of capability programs, processes and systems
  • Build strong relationships with leaders, HR Business Partners, and functional experts to understand capability needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, Learning & Development, or similar
  • 8+ years’ experience in a Learning & Development, Organisational Development, Instructional Design, or similar role within a large customer centric, multi brand environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in training design and delivery, including the ability to design end‑to‑end learning solutions grounded in adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated experience building, administering and optimising learning content within LMS and LXP platforms. Strong understanding of SCORM and xAPI standards, authoring tools such as Articulate, and learning analytics and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience managing end to end video production to support Capability initiatives, including concept development, filming, editing and publishing.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and systems, and how capability development integrates into broader people and organisational effectiveness practices
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and projects in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills, with the ability to use data, feedback, and insights to measure impact and continuously improve learning solutions

Benefits to you:

  • Generous team member discounts on all Myer products, including team-member exclusive discounts.
  • Access to lifestyle leave and volunteer leave – arrange work around your life, not life around work.
  • A supportive leadership and team network to set you up for success.
  • Career growth and succession opportunities across the business.
