MYER is seeking a Project Manager Construction to lead and shape the approach, methodology, costs and programming of assets as it relates to stores with developers and landlords and with the key functional areas of design, planning and procurement.
About the role:
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed business case parameters and are on time, to scope and within budget.
- Manage contract awarded builder from site establishment to project completion
- Lead large complex store refurbishment projects
- Manage contract awarded builder from site establishment to project completion
- Establish, manage and report on financials from concept budget through to agreed project costs
- Develop and manage programme and communicate throughout to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead the project design, planning and procurement functions to business objectives and timelines
- Ensure multiple projects at various stages of development are managed to align with programme and business objectives
- Work in a safe manner and ensure project works are carried out safely and to project specific needs
- Resolve contractual issues in timely and cost-effective manner
About you:
- Experience in Construction to include developing scope of works proposals, contracts and managing sub-contractor agreements
- Strong understanding of Contract Administration.
- Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, materials and work standards related to the Construction
- A high level of attention to detail with excellent time management and organisation skills
- Outstanding leadership, communication, organisational and planning abilities with a passion for working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office suite including MS Project
- 3 years minimum in a management capacity
- Successful delivery of Projects between $1m - $10m
- Minimum of 3 years working in construction management
