MYER is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer. The Cyber Security Engineer supports in the protection of Myer Groups systems, data and customers from cyber threats by designing, implementing and maintaining effective security controls across stores, distribution centres, online channels and corporate systems.
About the role:
- Actively work to understand Myers security landscape, proposing appropriate solutions to mitigate these risks
- Drive the implementation, and utilisation of the group’s security toolsets
- Ensure existing tools are leveraged to their full capability
- Partner with other security team members, as well as the broader technical teams to ensure alerts are accurate, and actionable.
- Continue to develop and maintain the groups centralised security logging solution (SIEM) solution, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness
- Automate incident response workflows to reduce response times and manual intervention.
- Automate Ingestion of Threat-intel feed into SIEM and automate real-time threat-hunt.
- Drive and champion Cyber Awareness training across the group, ensuring material is engaging and relevant
- Continually review opportunities to reduce potential data loss and information leakage risk
- Effectively develop, compile, and communicate Cyber Security KPI’s and reports to senior executives.
- Support IT audit activities and address identified gaps
- Document Solution Design, SOPs, playbooks for operational tasks and incident response.
- Operate with a Continual Improvement mindset, identifying practical and pragmatic opportunities to reduce risk
About you:
- Information Security related degree or relevant industry qualifications.
- Extensive professional experience in Cyber Security
- Strong knowledge and clear understanding of Cybersecurity concepts including cloud security
- Prior experience in implementing SIEM, SOAR, email security, CASB, EDR, PAM, Security Training, Threat-Intel etc.
- Working knowledge of Multi Cloud environments, AWS, IAM Azure AD (essential) and O365
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with scripting and automation, building workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style dependant on audience and articulate cyber risk in a language the business understands
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
