Myer is looking for a Senior Inventory Analyst to join the Hardgoods team and drive best practice replenishment and ensure the right product and quantities are available to meet customer demand both in store and online.
About the Role:
- Develop and approve store allocations aligned to category and financial plans.
- Monitor allocation performance using analytics, location strategies, and category targets; manage exceptions for seasonal, advertised, or complex lines.
- Partner with Demand Planners to optimise allocation parameters, improve forecasts, and support replenishment planning.
- Lead replenishment planning by reviewing system orders, setting parameters, and maintaining healthy in-stock positions.
- Ensure accurate allocation of promotional stock and take action on best sellers or underperforming items.
- Raise, track, and manage supplier purchase orders end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timely flow, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Deliver timely reporting and insights on sales, stock, replenishment, and supplier delivery; recommend store transfers or parameter updates.
- Collaborate with Planners, Suppliers, and Stores to resolve challenges, improve supply chain processes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor Inventory Analysts, fostering collaboration and high performance across planning and inventory teams.
About You:
- Minimum 18 months in inventory analyst or equivalent role within a buying office
- Retek/Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF) and intermediate Excel Experience will be highly regarded
- Strong Retail, financial and business acumen
- Exceptional financial and analytical skills
- Sound forecasting experience and capability
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently on prioritising and meeting deadlines
- Bachelor Degree/Diploma in one of the following fields would be preferable but not essential: Business Analytics, Data Science, Business, or Commerce
