Myer Group is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to develop and implement procurement strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to influence key business decisions, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver commercial value through innovative procurement strategies. About the role:
- Manage, lead, and deliver successful competitive market engagement events (e.g., RFI, RFP).
- Develop, negotiate, and execute commercial and contract agreements across categories delivering best outcomes for Myer.
- Development strategies for sourcing that are aligned with the organisational strategy and objectives in collaboration with our internal customers. Has the initiative to prioritise activities and continually seek suitable outcomes.
- Provide procurement governance guidance to internal and external stakeholders relating to the Myer Procurement policy and process.
- Drive change in the organisation by challenging existing arrangements, interrogating cost, and processes to maximise the commercial benefit from Myer’s vendor relationships.
- Achieve savings targets by sourcing competitive contracts; process efficiencies and by managing vendor contracts.
- Perform risk management and manage commercial disputes/escalations regarding contracts and agreements.
About you:
- Experience in procurement or similar roles
- Thorough understanding of IT and/or Marketing sourcing categories
- Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, business partnering approach with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an ability to recommend and negotiate practical solutions
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience working closely with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and business stakeholders to deliver robust commercial outcomes
