New and exciting opportunities are available in the Scheduling Operations Department! Join the Seven Canberra team working across our regional broadcast markets as we embark on a digital transformation program.
Roles are fast paced and varied – a rare opportunity to get a behind the scenes view of broadcast media and to either kick-start or further your career in the television industry. Both Permanent and Contract roles are available requiring you to work full-time hours Monday to Friday, with some later finishes required.
With our recent acquisition of additional TV licences in Tasmania, Darwin, Spencer Gulf, Broken Hill, Mount Isa, and Remote, Central and Eastern Australia, Seven is now Australia’s largest regional commercial television network and we are looking to expand our Canberra based Scheduling Operations team.
We are recruiting for the following roles:
- Leadership Roles
- Programming Coordinators
- Formatting Coordinators
- Commercial Inventory Coordinators
- Commercial Material/Keying Coordinators
- Scheduling Coordinators
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing & finalising daily television schedules for on-air broadcast.
- Managing the contents of commercial breaks and quality-checking prior to broadcast.
- Confirming that finalised schedules adhere to industry regulations.
- Creation & maintenance of programming information prior to broadcast.
- Operating in liaison with other departments and stakeholders to ensure all required data is correctly placed in daily schedules.
The roles will be based in the Canberra Office and report to the Head of Scheduling Operations.
About You
You are a proactive, self-motivated individual with strong initiative, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with team members and build effective business relationships. You will be required to be a problem solver, organised and meticulous in your work and be able to work to tight deadlines. You also ideally have:
- Previous experience with IBMS Content and IBMS Sales or other similar broadcast scheduling systems
- Experience in administration, retail sales or data entry (preferred).
- Strong computer literacy and data entry skills.
- A strong attention to detail and an analytical nature.
