Responsibilities will include:

- Apply strong diagnostic skills to identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues, including hardware faults and software bugs, often liaising with vendors for resolution.
- Provide proactive, customer-focused support to production teams, ensure clear communication during handovers, and collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Administer broadcast IT systems, manage user accounts, monitor equipment for faults, maintain backups, and ensure system capacity and performance are adequate.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of technical projects, manage changes effectively, and keep technical documentation and drawings up to date.
- Monitor stock levels, manage spare parts, maintain asset registers, and coordinate equipment requisition and installation to prescribed standards.
- Adhere to workplace safety and company policies, report risks or critical incidents promptly, and maintain professional conduct including reliability and punctuality.
About You:
You are an experienced Broadcast Television Technician with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, a technically savvy, proactive, and solutions-focused technician who is passionate about broadcasting and keeping Australia informed and entertained.
You will have:
- Solid knowledge of television technology, electronics, IP networking, and system tools (e.g. iNews, Quantel, Grass Valley, Imagine Communications), with experience in Windows/Linux administration and scripting.
- Clear verbal and written communication, logical problem-solving ability, and composure under pressure.
- Previous experience in broadcast engineering, IT support, or production operations, with relevant qualifications and hands-on installation or maintenance expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and maintain a strong focus on customer service and operational support.
- One or more areas of expert-level knowledge such as IP streaming, RF technology, database/network engineering, or component-level repair.
- Proven skills in project management, system documentation, and process administration.
- Regular collaboration with internal teams (e.g. Operations, Technical Directors, Broadcast Support) and external vendors or service providers.
