What does the job look like?

The Safety, Quality & Compliance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in guiding the site through the implementation and operation of Linfox Corporate Safety & Compliance Management Systems, along with site-specific standards, ensuring the maintenance of HACCP and SQF prerequisites and certifications. Additionally, this role entails actively supporting the team in crafting initiatives and programs aimed at continually enhancing Health, Safety, and Compliance, thus contributing significantly to Linfox's pursuit of achieving Vision Zero. This role is based in Kewdale and is a permanent position. Key areas:

  • Manage the effective Safety performance of the site (including contractors) and report performance and continuous improvement actions.
  • Establish effective and measurable objectives, targets & KPIs for Business Unit as part of the internal performance evaluation process in line with the Linfox Corporate Safety & Compliance Management Systems and HACCP & SQF standards.
  • Liaise with and engage customers in proactive safety initiatives.
  • Maintain all HACCP & SQF pre-requisites up to date, including housekeeping, pest control, training, temperature monitoring, site maintenance, non-conformance reporting, document control and GMP programs.
  • Develop and maintain all Safety & Compliance related documents including SWPs, Risk Assessments, Emergency Management plans, Traffic Management as well as any other safety related documents required by the site.
  • Determine training needs of employees on site and develop a training plan to ensure they receive training required.

You will have a strong commitment to drive safety and compliance across our business coupled with your ability to work in an open, collaborative and inclusive manner will ensure success in this role. You can demonstrate:

  • Relevant OHS qualifications
  • Previous experience working with WHS/OHS in an operational environment (food highly desirable)
  • Experience with certified safety management systems
  • Experience in Internal and/or External Auditing, Health and Safety training, Incident investigation and compliance
  • Risk assessment knowledge and practice
  • Results orientated, and able to work under pressure
