What does the job look like?
The Credit Team Lead plays a critical role in driving the financial health of Armaguard by leading the Credit and Collections stream within the Order to Cash department. Reporting to the Order to Cash Manager, this position is pivotal to ensuring strong cashflow performance across ANZ, managing high-value customer accounts, and leading a team of three Credit Controllers.
This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, is passionate about stakeholder engagement, and is committed to reducing aged debt and bad debt risk. You will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining efficient credit risk frameworks and leading process improvement across credit and accounts receivable.
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the Credit & Collections team, setting stretch KPIs and ensuring delivery of results.
- Oversee allocation of accounts receivable and ensure customer contractual compliance.
- Partner with Billing and Finance teams to reduce revenue accruals and drive cash optimisation.
- Maintain and apply credit risk assessment frameworks including credit limits, risk scoring, and expenditure monitoring.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection reporting and reconciliation activities (Blackline).
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance collections and invoicing practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, standardisation, and smart workflows.
- Champion compliance with finance standards and collection regulations (AASB, PCI, etc.).
- Foster team development, engagement, and high performance through coaching and clear objectives.

You’re a confident finance professional with proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, or Revenue Accounting. You thrive on leading teams, building relationships, and delivering results. With a deep understanding of finance operations and stakeholder management, you’ll bring a strategic and customer-focused approach to credit leadership.
The ideal candidate can demonstrate:
- At least 5 years of experience in credit or AR roles within a large organisation.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and finance systems.
- Working understanding of accounting principles and credit risk assessment.
- Track record of delivering improved DSO, collections performance, and cashflow outcomes.
